Role:
As a part of the product development team you will play a key role in architecture and software development of frevvo’s next generation products. You are a highly motivated self-starter who is dedicated to developing products that achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction. You are comfortable in a fast-paced environment, have a deep understanding of and comfort working with a wide variety of web based technologies and have strong implementation skills.  The ideal candidate possesses a strong desire desire to build great products to exacting quality standards using the latest technology and design techniques that go well beyond customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, Design and Develop key new software components.
• Work with other development team members to ensure release milestone content is delivered on schedule and with high quality.
•  Mentor and train other development team members in technology and design techniques as necessary.
•  Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure the highest product quality.
• Work closely with the Customer Support team and periodically provide direct support to customers and users.
• Utilize entrepreneurial skills to develop processes that contribute to workplace and team improvements.
• Occasionally troubleshoot operational and deployment issues with frevvo’s software.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• At least 4 years of software development experience, at least 2 years in Java software development.
• Strong experience in web technologies: XHTML, CSS and JavaScript.
• Experience with XML, XSLT, XML Schemas strongly desired.
• Solid understanding of object oriented concepts.
• Experience using Eclipse for Java and/or web development strongly desired.
• Experience in Microsoft .NET is a plus.
• Additional desired technology experience: Hibernate, Ajax, Tomcat, Apache, Eclipse EMF, Database (MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2), Maven, Subversion.
• Experience with tools to enhance the development process such as Hudson, Cruise Control, Atlassian Tools, etc. is a strong plus.
• Experience with the Linux Operating Systems, including shell scripting is a plus.
• Experience with Atlassian Confluence (especially Confluence plugin development) is a plus.
